Dr. Angelika Schmid is a Data Scientist and Managing Consultant at IBM Services. Originally, she studied business administration, intercultural communication, and economics. When she realized that what she really loved was data, she started programming and analyzing data, wrote a doctoral thesis in applied statistics, and became a Data Science Consultant. Now she develops predictive models with customers mostly from the automotive and retail industry and heads the Customer Analytics tribe in the Data Science practice at IBM.
