Lukas Jürgensmeier
Lukas Jürgensmeier is doctoral student in Quantitative Marketing at Goethe University. In his research, Lukas focuses on the interface between data science and marketing. Using econometric methods, machine learning, and large data sets, he asks how search results influence actors’ success on digital platforms such as Amazon and Google and if this comes with implications for fair competition.
Since 2018, Lukas is active in the non-profit initiative TechAcademy e.V. and currently leads the association with over 30 student volunteers. Together with other students, he designed a didactic concept that enables around 80 students each semester to learn basic or advanced programming skills in Data Science with R or Python and Web Development.
Together with colleagues from TechAcademy and the President of Goethe-University, Prof. Dr. Enrico Schleiff, Lukas will open the conference.
