1974 born and raised in Neunkirchen/Saar.
Lives with his wife and two children in Düsseldorf.

He studied Sinology and Japanese Studies in Trier, Wuhan and Tokyo with a focus on intellectual history and intercultural communication. After 8 years working in China, Carsten Senz joined Huawei Technologies in Germany in 2010 as a senior Corporate Communications Manager, where he helped to establish the Public Affairs & Communications department. His areas of responsibility included media relations, governmental affairs, corporate social responsibility, corporate strategy and campaigns. Since November 2018, he has been responsible for the entire area of Corporate Communications for Huawei in Germany.

He also launched Huawei Global CSR flagship program, the Seeds for the Future, in Germany in 2013 and since then facilitated the cooperation with various German universities such as RWTH Aachen University, Humboldt-University Berlin, and the Technical University Munich. In 2019, Huawei Germany “Seeds for the Future” project was renamed to the “Digital Seeds” project, which is for German young digital thinkers. 100 students go to China for a two-week tour to experience the real digital life….
